Portal · FAQ

Questions about the portal.

This FAQ is focused on the portal itself—how clients and freelancers use it, how it differs from the public site, and where to go if something doesn't look right. It's written to be safe to show even while some wiring is still being connected.

General

High-level questions about the portal and how it fits into the rest of the OuroDocs experience.

What is the OuroDocs portal?+

The portal is the operational side of OuroDocs. Clients use it to access their document workflows and related tools. Freelancers use it to track referrals, payouts, and program status. It's separate from the public marketing site, which is focused on describing the service at a higher level.

Is this the same as the public website?+

No. The public website is where new visitors learn about OuroDocs and sign up. The portal is for people who already have access:

  • Clients use the portal to log in, upload, and manage documents.
  • Freelancers use the portal to view payouts, rank, and outreach resources.
Who should I contact if I have trouble logging in?+

If you're seeing unexpected errors or you're not sure which login you should be using, email support@ourodocs.com with your name, role (client or freelancer), and a brief description of what you're running into.

Clients

For teams using OuroDocs to handle documents and structured data.

How do clients access the portal?+

Clients typically arrive here from the public site via the portal login. From there, you can choose the Client login option, which routes you to /clients/login and then into your client dashboard once authentication is wired in.

Where do I upload documents?+

Once signed in as a client, the primary upload surface will live under Clients → Upload. For now the page is a visual shell—its layout is ready so we can connect it to the live pipeline without changing the UI.

Can my team members get their own logins?+

Yes, the portal is being designed with teams in mind. The Clients → Teams area is where team-level access will be managed. As that wiring is completed, it will support inviting colleagues, adjusting roles, and managing shared access.

Where can I see my documents and their status?+

The Clients → Documents section is intended to show you the list of documents tied to your account, with detailed views under /clients/documents/[id]. Today those pages are UI shells; they're being finalized so we can wire them cleanly to your live data.

Freelancers

For partners using the portal to track referrals, payouts, and rank.

How do freelancers access the program dashboard?+

From the login hub, choose the Freelancer login option. That takes you to /freelancers/login, and from there into your Freelancer → Dashboard once authentication is wired in.

Where do I see my payouts and rank?+

Payout history and upcoming periods are shown under Freelancer → Payouts. Rank structure and example benefits are covered under Freelancer → Rank & benefits. Both pages are currently visual shells designed to be safe to show to early users.

How do I connect or update my Stripe payout details?+

Stripe Connect is managed from Freelancer → Stripe. In the live version, actions on that page will open Stripe-hosted screens where you can securely manage payout accounts without sharing bank details directly with OuroDocs.

Where can I find program-approved outreach material?+

The Freelancer → Resources section is the hub for example messaging, positioning guidance, and reference material. As the program matures, additional PDFs, one-pagers, and playbooks can be added there without changing the core layout.

If your question isn't listed here

The FAQ is intentionally focused on common, recurring topics. If you're running into something more specific:

  • • Check the Support page for the best current contact path.
  • • Include whether you're a client or freelancer in your message.
  • • Add a screenshot if something in the portal looks wrong or confusing.

As we see patterns in the questions people ask, we'll expand this page so more answers are available without needing to reach out.
